It's a psychedelic soulful combination you never realised you were lacking.

After a successful year amongst unprecedented times for the Leeds-born alternative artist, FALLU is back in a revived funky spirit. Early in lockdown, we were graced with the presence of FALLU's authentic and acoustically-driven single 'Conversation', providing us with lyricism of the relatable turmoil following relationship breakups without closure. 'Sunshine Down', her new single, ignites us with a similar honesty, but in a more zesty and vibrant light, leaving us excited to see FALLU's next direction.
With its groovy riffs and bass lines accompanied by urgent drum beats, the track is boogie-inducing. As we move through the track, FALLU transports us through a soulful psychedelic dimension which is a new collaboration to our ears. Her lyricism is stunningly open with its intricate discussions of living with anxiety and its impact on matters of relationships and our personal lives. The record is refreshing in its successful attempt of addressing such intimate details of the mind, whilst still providing listeners with a colourful track full of groove.
After FALLU's notable success on the Manchester scene so far, playing venues such as Gorilla and YES Bar's 'The Woman' event on 2020's International Women's Day, it is evident this release is another catalyst for increasing the volume of her vital musical voice even further. Whilst her down-to-earth words offer us comfort, they also offer empowerment and acceptance of creating art out of your true discomfort or troubles - a necessity for all of us to hear.
The single encompasses the aura of 60s retro psychedelia with a chic contemporary alternative commentary on modern day life and raises all anticipations for FALLU's next artistic move.
'Sunshine Down' is available on all streaming platforms now.
