Gritty, empowering and observational - unleashing great anticipations for the band's debut EP.

Since the release of single 'Drones' and title-track 'Manifesto', Sprints have had listeners hooked with their vital riffs and grunge-inspired garage noise. The drop of their penultimate track 'Swimming' from their upcoming debut EP is no exception.

Drawing us in with gritty guitar hooks and percussion, the track is the ideal soundtrack to a runaway movie scene, instantly gaining our attention and desire to listen. Instrumentally, it is a journey of uprising, importance and urgency. Sprints have achieved a sense of reminiscence of teenage rebellion, yet address lack of opportunities for the mass in society - a common loss for listeners of all ages and backgrounds.

The iconic voice of Sprints vocalist, Karla Chubb, is both ear and eye-opening. Since taking on issues such as homophobia and imposter syndrome in their two previous releases, 'Swimming' is another brilliant observational yet conversational punk piece from the band. Speaking of taking prescribed societal paths to fulfil the idyllic version of success in society, Chubb allows us to reflect on harsh realities and scorns on behalf of us all. Although the track converses the personal struggles of the band, it strikes a familiar senses of anguish within all of us who are trying to align with the stereotypical idea of success everyday.

Following a year of distress, the arrival of this record is punctual, vocalising the notable neglect of the people who are simultaneously being held to stale expectations. 'Swimming' is another ferocious uprise-sparking track from Sprints, triggering great anticipation for their debut EP 'Manifesto' arriving on the 26th of March, available for pre-save here via Nice Swan Records.
